Shuk-Mei Ho Receives 2013 PCF Mentor of Excellence Award

Shuk-Mei Ho, PhD, director of the Cincinnati Cancer Center, Jacob G. Schmidlapp Chair of Environmental Health and professor at the UC College of Medicine,  is the recipient of the 2013 Prostate Cancer Foundation (PCF) Mentor of Excellence Award, honoring her mentorship and dedication toward prostate cancer research.

The award is given to celebrate those who have advocated for, coached and trained PCF Young Investigators for success. PCF requested its 125 selected Young Investigators submit their nominations to honor individuals who have guided them professionally and intellectually toward developing their ideas and pursuing research.

PCF, which has been in existence since 1993, has generated nearly $550 million to fund more than 2,000 research projects at nearly 200 institutions in 17 countries, all aimed at eliminating prostate cancer.
